Install
Install the extension in Chrome.
- Open `chrome://extensions/` in Chrome.
- Enable Developer Mode.
- Select `Load unpacked`.
- Choose the CleanXHistory project folder.
First setup
Open the extension, review the built-in blacklist and keyword options, then add custom domains or keywords for your own sensitive topics. Keep manual cleanup mode enabled until you are sure the filters fit your use case.
Recommended default
Manual review is the safest starting point because it lets users inspect matches before destructive cleanup runs. It also helps keep useful unrelated history instead of clearing everything like a broad browser cleaner.
Next step
The live site can later point either to a Chrome Web Store listing or to a maintained self-install guide, depending on how the extension is distributed.
